The Florida Carriage Museum & Resort, formerly known as the Austin Horse Park, encompasses over 400 acres of beauty in Central Florida’s horse country.  Visitors to the Museum re-live history as they experience one of the finest collections of carriages in the world.  They can even take a carriage ride (by prior appointment) on the winding roads through tall oaks draped in Spanish Moss, around the Qin Dynasty Gardens and past the exotic Japanese Koi pond.  Horses abound; a rare Poitou donkey named Nicolette and her best friend, a Miniature Horse named Gracie, welcome visitors and look for a scratch on the head.

Resort guests enjoy the Museum as well as an equestrian “Bed and Barn” where they are invited to vacation and train with their own horses or with ours.  Head trainer and Equine Manager Melissa Warner has achieved the highest level of British Driving Society Instructor’s Certification.  She is one of the very few in the United States to have this prestigious designation.  The opportunity to learn from Melissa and her team, which includes two British Driving Society Level 1 Drivers is something special.
